
Lesley Chen is a current undergraduate student at George Mason University pursuing a Major in Government and International Politics and a Minor in Legal Studies. Lesley was born in Brooklyn, New York, but currently resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a first-generation college student and also a first-generation Chinese-American. Lesley was previously a student speaker in the Season of Non-violence campaign against hate and racism in 2020 and holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma. She is also the division chief of the Economics & Trade Division of the GMU Branch of the Sycamore Institute think tank and part of many student organizations such as Model UN and the Intelligence Community Network.
Lesley is interested in researching character assassination against celebrities in the global entertainment industry and political figures in the Chinese government. She also focuses on working to improve CARP’s social media presence and promotion by running their Instagram and Twitter accounts. Lesley is passionate about international relations, human rights, and political diversity and aims to advocate for racial and gender equality. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, proficient in French, and currently learning Korean. Her personal goal is to travel the world to experience different cultures and promote cultural diversity.
